About Therapy
“Healing is about taking the time to notice what gets in the way of feeling connected to your life, your community, and your sense of possibility. Healing, at its core, is about slowing down so that we can better listen, to ourselves and each other.” - Susan Raffo
Is Online Therapy Effective?
While it may seem strange at first, online therapy can actually be just as effective, if not more so, than in-person sessions. Specifically, many of my clients feel more comfortable opening up about difficult topics and allowing themselves to experience complex emotions when they’re in the comfort of their own homes rather than my office. Additional benefits of online therapy include:
Convenience – it's much easier to squeeze a session into your schedule when you can meet up with me from wherever is convenient for you.
No commute – part of that convenience is not having to factor in traveling to and from my office.
Consistency – meeting regularly with a therapist is important, especially when you first get started, and it’s much easier to maintain consistent visits when they just need to jump on a private video call.
Are You Considering Scheduling Your First Therapy Session?
Making the decision to move forward with therapy can be overwhelming. If you’re struggling emotionally, with a transition, in your relationships, or in any other aspect of life, adding another thing to do or think about can seem like too much. I understand how you feel, and I have some good news. Therapy may seem like one more thing to worry about, but actually, therapy is a safe space to work through the challenges that life throws your way. If you’re ready start making changes and feeling more like yourself again or even finding a new version of yourself, therapy can help.
