About Therapy

Does this sound familiar?

  • You continue to give to people who hurt you, or re-enact childhood patterns in relationships

  • You feel like other people steal your joy and get in your way

  • You sacrifice your needs and desires to avoid conflict or rejection

  • You struggle with setting healthy boundaries

  • You feel scared to address issues head on, but it seems like the problems in your life are probably because of “your stuff”

You’ve been working hard to improve your life and relationships. Maybe you talked to friends, read some inspirational books, or even tried therapy. Yet you keep finding yourself in the same place.

Let’s start a get-to-the-root kind of healing journey.

Through our work together you will:

  • Develop awareness of the patterns that are hindering your life

  • Understand the root causes of those patterns

  • Change the way you respond to difficulties in your life

  • And, finally, heal the underlying issues so that they don’t control your life any longer

“Healing is about taking the time to notice what gets in the way of feeling connected to your life, your community, and your sense of possibility. Healing, at its core, is about slowing down so that we can better listen, to ourselves and each other.” - Susan Raffo

What to Expect

I carry a deep understanding of how we are shaped by our early experiences and how these affect our adult life. My approach is about making lasting change.

As a result of our work together, you will begin to master your emotions with skill. You will begin to see yourself as whole. You will feel less alone and less ashamed. You will feel more connected.

Is Online Therapy Effective?

While it may seem strange at first, online therapy can actually be just as effective, if not more so, than in-person sessions. Specifically, many of my clients feel more comfortable opening up about difficult topics and allowing themselves to experience complex emotions when they’re in the comfort of their own homes rather than my office. Additional benefits of online therapy include:

  • Convenience – it's much easier to squeeze a session into your schedule when you can meet up with me from wherever is convenient for you.

  • No commute – part of that convenience is not having to factor in traveling to and from my office.

  • Consistency – meeting regularly with a therapist is important, especially when you first get started, and it’s much easier to maintain consistent visits when they just need to jump on a private video call.

Are You Considering Scheduling Your First Therapy Session?

Making the decision to move forward with therapy can be overwhelming. If you’re struggling emotionally, with a transition, in your relationships, or in any other aspect of life, adding another thing to do or think about can seem like too much. I understand how you feel, and I have some good news. Therapy may seem like one more thing to worry about, but actually, therapy is a safe space to work through the challenges that life throws your way. If you’re ready start making changes and feeling more like yourself again or even finding a new version of yourself, therapy can help.

“I have come to the conclusion that human beings are born with the innate capacity to triumph over trauma…In so doing, we will significantly increase our ability to achieve both our individual and collective dreams.” - Peter Levine
